Creation of Cooperative Green Park by Samata
Kaka Koyate : Cooperative Credit Union would be Turned into Green Unions
Kopargaon : Samata Cooperative Credit Union is the first in the Maharashtra state to create a Cooperative Green Park and turned cooperative Unoins into cooperative green Unions through the Cooperative Credit Union Movement.
“Therefore, this initiative of ‘ACCU’ is complementary to the environment” said Omprakash Dadappa alias Kaka Koyate, President of Mafcocs.
The inauguration of this Cooperative Green Park was done in the presence of Taluka Cooperative Unions’ Assistant Registrar, Namdev Thombal, Mafcocs Director Vasudev Kale, Ahmednagar District Stability Fund President Suresh Wable, Nashik Divisional Cooperative Unions’ Federation President Vasant Lodha and various dignitaries by planting 500 different types of trees in the Cooperative Green Park.
In the International Cooperative Conference which was held in Chang Mai (Thailand) at the head quarters of the apex body of the Association of Asian Confideration of Cooperative Credit Unions, ACCU where it was decided to make all the cooperative Unions into cooperative green Unions thereby transforming the cooperative sector into Cooperative Green World.
Samata has successfully created a Cooperative Green Park in response to this appeal of ACCU. Also, the road passing in front of Samata cooperative credit Union has been named as ‘Samata Sahakar Road’ and trees have been planted on both sides of this road.
